2. Refund Process

🔹 Step 2: Our team will verify the request and arrange a return pickup (if applicable).
🔹 Step 3: Once the returned item is received and verified, we will initiate the refund.
🔹 Step 4: Refunds are processed based on the original payment method.
3. Refund Timelines
✅ Prepaid Orders (UPI, Cards, Net Banking, Wallets) – 3-7 business days after approval.
✅ Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders – Refunds issued via bank transfer or wallet credit within 5-10 business days.
✅ EMI or Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) Orders – Refunds depend on your lender’s policies.

4. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued if:

Seller Refund Policy

At Bharathaat, we aim to provide a fair and transparent refund process for both customers and sellers. This policy outlines how refunds are handled when customers request returns or claim issues with their orders.
1. Seller Refund Eligibility
A refund will be processed from the seller’s account in the following cases:
✔ The product is defective, damaged, or incorrect as per customer claim.
✔ The product was not delivered within the promised timeframe due to seller-related issues.
✔ The product is eligible for No-Questions-Asked Returns and the return is approved.
✔ The seller cancels an order after payment confirmation.
✔ A dispute is resolved in favor of the buyer.
🚫 Seller Will Not Be Liable For Refunds If:

The product was damaged by the customer after delivery.

The buyer fails to return the item within the allowed timeframe.

The product is not eligible for returns as per policy.

2. Refund Deduction & Settlement
🔹 If a refund is initiated, the order amount will be deducted from the seller’s pending payouts.
🔹 If the seller has insufficient balance, Bharathaat may adjust future payouts or request manual repayment.
🔹 Sellers can track refund transactions via the Seller Dashboard.
📌 For high refund rates, additional penalties may apply.
3. Return & Reverse Logistics
📦 Return Pickup: Bharathaat arranges return pickups for eligible items.
📦 Seller Responsibility: Ensure smooth pickup and quality verification.
📦 Damage Claims: If an item is returned in unsellable condition, the seller can raise a dispute.
🚨 Important: If a return is due to wrong product shipment, poor quality, or missing items, the seller will bear full refund liability.
4. Dispute Resolution for Sellers
If a seller disagrees with a refund claim, they can:
✅ File a dispute via the Seller Dashboard within 3 days of the refund notification.
✅ Provide proof of correct product shipment (images, invoices, tracking details).
✅ Request a reverse QC (Quality Check) for high-value products.
📌 Bharathaat’s resolution team will investigate and decide the final refund outcome.
5. Refund Processing Time for Sellers
Refunds deducted from seller accounts will be settled based on the following:

Prepaid Orders: Amount deducted within 3-7 business days.

Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders: Adjustment made in the next payout cycle.

Disputed Refunds: If the dispute is ruled in the seller’s favor, the refund will be reversed.

6. Penalties & Compliance
🔹 High Return Rate Sellers: If a seller has excessive returns/refunds, Bharathaat may:

Reduce product visibility on the platform.

Impose higher commission fees.

Temporarily suspend the account.
🔹 Fraudulent Claims: If a seller misuses the refund system, Bharathaat reserves the right to ban the seller permanently.
🚨 Strict adherence to quality, packaging, and timely dispatch is required to avoid penalties.
